Frederique Poulain attended L’Ecole des Beaux Arts in her native country France, an academy art school which lead her to work on murals and Trompe L’oeip (Fool the eye). After discovering the technique of ceramics she started creating back splashes on tiles, table tops and accessories.
She moved to South West Florida in 1993 and started Frederique’s Studio where she found a rapidly growing list of satisfied clients.
Her love for horses started at a young age. After starting out in jumping she discovered dressage and was blessed to work in the prestigious “Grandes Ecuries” in Chantilly France, the living horse museum where advanced dressage moves such as Haute école, passage, piaffe and pirouettes are a part of every day life.
Now located in the heart of horse country, Central Virginia, an inspiring place to mix her giftedness in art and horses, Frederique produces acclaimed art work.
Her unique style and love for horses shows in every stroke of the brush.
When not on the road showcasing her artwork at various equestrian shows throughout the US, Frederique can be found in her studio working on commissioned artwork and enjoying spending time with her Polish Arabian mare and her Yorkshire Terrier, and Bull Mastiff dogs.
